It's Been A While...

Indeed, I have stopped blogging for a while. I shall use no excuse this time, plain laziness and my wish for more time with the kids took me away from the pc (and oh! FB took my time too!).

Well, we celebrated Ethyl's 5th birthday (pictures coming soon), Hubby's 34th (no pictures) and now, next Monday will be brother-in-law's wedding.

Things were pretty well. Time is never enough for us all! Let me sort out what I wanted to write and we shall be back here soon! Till then!

Ethylyn's 1st Performance - 131109

This is world kindness day, also Friday the 13th. However, this is a very memorable day for us especially this is Ethyl's first performance on stage.

We were so looking forward to this day! Met Dad and Gina at Raffles City for lunch before going to Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel to watch Ethyl's performance.

These were all pictures taken during the full dress rehearsal.

Concert about to begin...somehow I was touched by the little graduands when they went up the stage.

Little boy was really supportive of his elder sister.

Here's Ethyl with her classmate, Little Red Riding Hood. They were representing their class to introduce the skit to the audience. Together with them is their principal, Mrs Noor.

I think Gina has a better view from their side.

She asked if I am glad of her performance. Yes I am...all the parents who saw their little ones on stage were proud parents. Some kids has stage fright, but as a parent, we were all encouraging. Some kids forgot their actions, but we were all fine with it. Overall the performance is really wonderful!

Ethyl tells me she loves stage and performing and hope to have more performances.

Siblings' Love

Surely, Ethylyn being the elder sister dotes on the little brother and gives him a lot of her attention and is his great playmate. As the little boy grows, he began to show that he reciprocates his sister’s love.

Last evening, when the both of us were home, he was kept busy with the Takashimaya catalogue that they sent. He flipped and lookd that the toys that were in there and pointed to this Mickey Mouse car and said, “this”. I asked if he wanted to buy this as his Christmas gift, he nodded.

He continued to flip through the catalogue and saw this sandwich maker and said, “jiejie…this”. When I asked if he wanted me to get this for jiejie, he nodded again. I can’t help but gave this lovely son of mine a big cuddle! He is such a dear! Besides getting himself a gift, he also has jiejie in mind.

Same goes for Ethyl. I ever called her and asked what she would like for her birthday, she asked me how about Didi? Queried on what I have on mind for her little brother, else Brayden will be sad if he does not receive a gift while she does.

Another incident that tells how much love they have for one another. Ethyl has to be in school whole day for her full dress rehearsal on Monday. When it was the usual time that Mom would bring him downstairs to wait for Ethyl, he started fussing.

I am sure he must be wondering why is PoPo still at home when it is time for them to fetch Jiejie. For the whole afternoon, he was throwing tantrums and was really uncooperative. When I reached home, I saw how he would walk up to Ethyl, hugged and kissed her and kept following her around. Even when Hubby or I wanted to carry him, he will resist. When I hugged Jiejie, he would run over and hug her. See how protective he is towards his sister.

Inevitably, I am really glad they are so close to one another. Both care and show concern for one another. I hope they remain this way many years down the road.
