Time No Enough!

Attended our family gathering at Aloha Loyang last saturday. Have lots of pictures, but no time to post and upload.

Shifted our house last sunday, still left with some packing...not really done yet even till now...

Today, continue to pack the "leftovers" and dump away few bagful of clothes...Hubby is still packing...I have yet to pack our luggage! Nothing packed at all!

Just checked ourselves in. Told myself the packing of our house I target to finish by tomorrow in 3 hrs, finish luggage packing before 9pm tomorrow so that we can rest early as we have an early flight to catch the next morning.

No, I am not really excited yet cos too many things happening at the same time and I'm really drained out!

Here's wishing all Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!

Our "New Daughter"

Excursion For Ethyl

My Girl is on another excursion trip today. Being the Mommy's girl, I always worry about her well-being if they went on an excursion without parents. For Ethyl's case, without me.

I remembered I enjoyed all the excursions while I was a kid, I understand the need to loosen my apron string and let her have a fun childhood too.

She my cheeky girl posing for the cam while waiting for the school bus.

She took some pictures with her classmate, Reef.

Ethyl looks so skinny next to Reef.

For Hong Kong Trip - Preventive Measure

I am more cautious this time round when travelling. With the recent outbreak of bird flu in HK, we went ahead to protect ourselves by taking flu vaccine.

Little girl somehow is very timid these days. I am hoping that by being an example, a good one so to speak...would spur her to be brave as well.
Seeing that I was not in pain, she was less afraid and willing to take the vaccine. See, she is having a chat with the GP!
Things were different when she saw the needle though...

Oh my...but it was a short-lived struggle. Once done, she stopped crying. When asked if it was painful, she said "No lah, not very painful...just abit pain only. See, I never cry already."

Then...she spent the night at Mom's and called me, "Mommy, you go and throw away my milk bottle. I big girl alrready, I will drink from a cup from now onwards." I was impressed.

Asked Mom why the sudden deision to throw away her milk bottle, Mom said she said her had just had a jab and was painful and she can't move it. Thus she has no strength to hold the milk bottle (?!). Haha...she is indeed funny...

Specially for Ah Yi

When I stepped into Mom's house last evening, Ethyl was so excited and showed me the colouring that she had done in school. It was a snowman...a beautifully coloured snowman.

She did a good job, and of course, I was beaming and praising her at the same time.

Ethyl wanted to share her new "creation" with everyone, including her Ah Yi who is seldom home.

Picture is taken yesterday because she kept pestering me to take a picture and show Ah Yi.

Besides Ethyl, my Brayden boy for the Ah Yi who always likes to bully him...likewise, I also bully my pig pig...haha...

Just Like Who?

Brayden looks like Ethyl...the resemblance is there. Many commented that Ethyl looks like me, but Bray looks like Brian?

So, does Bray looks like me? Definitely Hubby and I do not resemble each other...

How does one tell who looks like who?

Searching Mode

I realised that I have been surfing the web for info quite a bit for several months. Since we have bought our new house, the S-mode is still on. So, what am I searching for?

There were several things on my to-do list that has yet to complete. Searching for a kindy in the east, some enrichment or rather interest classes for Ethyl.

As usual, she is eager to learn. Kept bugging me for classes...Well, since our house has settled, I shall start looking around for schools and classes for her.

Am hoping to find a school that has arts and crafts, speech and drama or computer. Ethyl wanted to learn these and I hope her weekends would be kept less busy with classes. Swimming is next...she likes to dance, either jazz or hip hop...but so far the schools found take students from 5yo.

She wanted to learn music. Since young, she mentioned piano and when I asked her again, she mentioned something else.

Me: Baby, you want to learn music right? Do you want to learn piano?
Ethyl: Mommy, I want to learn music...but I don't want to learn piano already...I want to play drum (with the action) pom, pom, pom...so cool!
Me: really? you want to play drum? If that's the case, I'll find a place for you to learn drum...
Ethyl: Yes, Mommy...*pom pom pom*

Haha...my girl.

Any good schools to recommend me?

Photos of Brayden

Gina managed to take some pictures of Brayden when she's home...

This is my fave pic amongst those that were taken.

He stuffs everything into his mouth.
He likes to pretend-tired.
In fact, he likes plushies.

Bray boy is generally generous with his smile...and Mom, MIL and my Godmom loves his smiles...

HongKong Trip Updates

Flight and hotel confirmed!

We waitlisted for the earlier flight and it was confirmed within a week! Looking forward to the trip and Hubby is finally having this weekend off! We are going to pack our house, go for Lleroy's first bday bash and also do some shopping for the trip.

The kids needs to be kept warm enough...I need to settle for travel insurance, bring my brood plus my Mom for flu vaccine.

The next to be ready is the itin. We will spend 2 days in the parks, namely Disneyland and Ocean park.

The other 2.5 days are to places of attractions and some shopping. This time, we are taking it real easy as we do not want our inaugural trip to be rushing from spot A to B since we have 2 kids in tow.

Pretty exciting...plus we are shifting out, it also means we have more packings to do...

Side track, will be bringing Mom and Dad (mine) to view our new house tomorrow since we are going chalet. I hope they will like the place too.

Feverish Boy...

Brayden started having fever on Monday, we brought him to the PD, and was told that there is this virus going around and hitting (especially) kids. This virus will cause fever that hovers from mild grade to higher grade (38.5 deg and up) for at least 3 to 5 days.

Poor baby, his smiles were not there for the first 2 days, and yesterday, he smiled more and when we thought he was better, the fever shot up to 39.2 deg and immediately, Hubby and I woke up to sponge him (at 2am).

Mom tried all ways and means to help bring down the fever; using hard boiled egg, using glutinous flour with rice wine and even boiled barley to help bring down the "heatiness" but to no avail.

I was so tempted to tell hubby to bring him to KKH as I was worried about the rocketing temperature.

We were both tired and I think the virus got to me. Am also having congested nose and felt feverish...sleep deprived and unable to concentrate. I'd rather I am the one who is sick and not him!
