From Daddy's Boy to Mommy's Boy?
For a few days, he had been wanting my attention. He is soooo adorable!
So now, I have both the kiddos "fighting" for Mommy!
I am still tickled by my boy's persistence when the Daddy insisted to carry him on the carrier and refused to let me carry! He went "ahhhhh" all the way from one end of suntec to the other end! And when I finally convinved the Dad that he wants me, this boy was so happy and refused to turn around to look at the Dad!
So, he knows who puts in more effort ;)

In Search - Ergonomics Desk, Chair & Computer Table
I am in search for ergonomics furniture for Ethyl as I see her interest in writing, drawing, reading and even learning the fundamentals of operating the desktop.
As the title suggests, I am in a searching mode as our 1st appointment to our new home will be in a week's time, and yes, I am getting all excited about the reno works and the furnishings.
I went to Ergoworks 2 weeks ago to check on the pricing and also to et Ethyl try on the chair and table. One set, excluding the computer table, it cost me less that $1,500.00 with some add ons. It is a promotional price, and I have to say, I almost book a set on the spot! As usual, the Man says, lets shop around first.
Let's say I heeded that advise. I went to suntec with the kids before Hubby knocked off and went to Crosscom. Gosh, the pricing the able including a small table for printer, it came close to $7000. My jaw dropped at this amount and I happened to fins out that Kinderfun Kids' Ergonomics has a deal too! The cost could be just 1/3 of what crosscom offered me!
Personally, I do prefer Kinderfun. I may want to drop by this week during lunch to get their brochures and show Hubby. It's definitely a no-no to buy from crosscom as the pricing is definitely too high, eventhough they argues about the originality and authencity and assures me that it is through many researches done by the orthopaedic specialists.
Looking forward to good posture for the gal and in future, the boy too!

Our New Home in the East
All these ground work were actually tedious for me especially when work is so busy.
I did not manage to get any pictures during our 2 viewings, the only pictures of the house I have is just photos from our valuation report, and the lazy me simply took the pictures and upload for convenience sake.
This is part of the hall, excluding the dining area and the study area.
This is the old fashion kinda kitchen with full length cabinets. I am going to revamp the whole kitchen to a modern and functional look!
MBR is just as boring...we'll convert it to a modern yet stylish look! The romantic factor has to be thrown in too! Look at that door! Geesh...I hate that shape and going to convert it back to it's original.
Above is the recess area. It is spacious enough for me to do what I have in my mind for ages! Everything's gonna go off here too!
Toilets are a must go including the balcony and study too!
Major works evolved around the lower floor. The parquet flooring is very well maintained thus I am cutting our reno cost and will just do a polish.
The only thing that stays other than the floorings are the stairs railings. So far the quotes were pretty reasonable for an EM, and we are going to pay more attention to the details of the quotes. I hope Hubby can be of a better help in this as I am really overstretched from the current projects on hand.

Valentine's Day to Merlion!
Ethyl wanted to go and have a walk and "visit" Merlion, we obliged!
At One Fullerton...on our way to the Merlion! How I adore their smiles!
Ethyl trying to get Brayden focused on the lenses.
After the stroll to and fro, we went Starbucks for a drink.
Our little boy simply couldn't stay still!
Finally, we struggled to get one shot that looks more proper.
The kids :)
And...we had a "third party"...
Just the 2 of us :)

The Search...
The schools that I have contacted for Ethyl are more or less settled for us to view to premises, bring Ethyl along for second viewing and we will settle in once all of us are comfortable with our choice.
This school I have shortlisted must have a kindy set up. I no longer want Ethyl to go without school holidays as she needs a break and do things she likes and I can also take leave and bond with the kids. Mom can also have her "holiday" too!
Firstly, this school meets almost all my pre-requisite. Having said that, they have theirs too! The fees were on the higher side, however for the programs they have, I think it is worth it. At Nafa Arts Kindergarten, they provide arts that Ethyl is keen to learn too. Which means, she has lesser classes to attend to on weekends! Well, a good school will be so full. This is what is happening at NAK. I need to waitlist and yes, I sign the form and faxed over to them. It is not a die-die must enrol her in, but I do wish to put her in if she is really keen.
The next on my list is Paper Scissors Stone Montessori. They still do have vacancy available, I will also go viewing with Hubby and see for the first round before deciding. They do not have additional enrichments. But I would still go and view the place before any decisions made.
Does anyone has good pre-school to recommend?

Conquering Myself!
As I am not the type who can be cooped up at home, I need to go out and bring Ethyl out so that she won't feel too bored on weekends (if Hubby has to work). I told myself...maybe I should just try and bring them out on my own and see if I can manage. I can do it with Ethyl the last time, why can't I do it this time?
Indeed, I was just feeling exiting at the thought of bring 2 kiddos, one is on the carrier, the other hand-holding. As I dish out my bags, trying to see which is better...the Gucci tote seems a better choice as a diaper bag; roomy enough, yet stylish.
The bag is nice, it could have been better if it was bigger. So I thought..."the next sales I will go get a bigger tote (Hubby better not read this!)!
Brayden boy seemed to be in a good mood and cooperative enough. I told him I will bring both of them out without daddy for a short while and he better cooperate, else no more shopping for him the next time. True enough, he is well-behaved.
We walked under the blazing sun and though it was scorching, we three enjoyed. Ethyl and I were chatting and Bray participated in our conversations with his goo-goo-ga-ga.
The bus arrived shortly. Brayden boy seldom take public transport as we have Hubby to ferry us around. He simply is too curious with the environment in the bus and refused to nap!
Ethyl has always been a very good traveller. She'd nap shortly after we boarded the bus and cheeky didi would start to "wake" her up with his little kicks. His chubby hands will try to catch Ethyl's hair and pull them. At times, he'd lean against Ethyl, trying to wake her up with his "eh".
Unexpectedly, he was not cranky with that almost 45 mins journey. He dozed off when we almost reached Chinatown. We shopped around before Hubby reached. Though just a very short while before my "aid" came, I really enjoyed!
I am planning for another trip this weekend probably alone.

Making Skinsense
For my skin, I am somehow neglected giving it's well-deserved. I take for granted that I have good skin condition and has a complexion that glows from within. I cleanse when I feel like it and we can forget about routine for my case. Since last year, I have seen how my skin "degenerated". I started to see signs of aging(!) and yes, I need to hydrate my thirsty dry skin.
I went to my Dermatologist and wanted to try her products. I have seen how her nurses skin glows even without makeup. They rave about it and since the price is not exorbitant as I do get staff discount, I gave it a try. For your info, I was diagnose with Dermatitis, fortunately, it was a very mild case.
The products that I have used are really wonderful! I really feel my skin plumped up and simply adore how my skin felt when i glide through with my fingers.
I also went to customise a clay-cream mask to hydrate and at the same time maintain the PH balance of my skin with compounding pharmacy. I have to wait till next week before i can lay my hands on to try it...since it's customised for myself, I shall share the results after using it. Not sure if I shall try the stem cells concoction...Let me think through first as it is not too cheap.
I am currently "transforming" myself religiously. I am trying to shed the kilos and keeping my beauty routine gingerly. I hope to see a new me by the end of this year! We ought to age gracefully shouldn't we?! *winks*

CNY 2009
Brayden is at the age whereby he needs more attention, thus it could be pretty tiring for us taking care of him. Hubby was working on day 1 of CNY, thus the caring task falls on me most of the time. Mom did help relieve me for a while though...
Time flashes by...
Eve of CNY, I was greeted by these loveliest smiles ever...
Day 1 of CNY...
While Hubby is working, we took Dad's Kangoo around going visiting. Us cam-whoring while on the road.
Doesn't she look so lovely in this set of clothes?
Day 2 of CNY
The day started with us going to Brian uncle's house. A yearly routine for the start of Day 2's visiting.
The Father & Son
Ethyl with cousins playing DS...
Ethyl offered to take for us 3...
Day 6 of CNY
We went out shopping and to the Guanyin temple o pray for a start of the year.
See the both of them enjoying some kiddy rides at the arcade.
On Day 7 of CNY, we all went to my aunt's place as there is lion dance at her market stall. It's also a yearly affair.
Little boy is very interested in the lions!
And this is the cousin-in-law who wanted to bring Brayden home and Ethyl refused to let him do so!
Lasik, Not!
However, my new Opthamologist came on board recently and did a marketing brief for us. I have and am convenienced by her to hold back my plan for Lasik till I am 35. No, I am not doing Lasik 6 years later, I am going for my cataract surgery to correct my vision.
The suction of our cornea during the Lasik process actually prematures the tear on our retina, and Lasik does not mean that you will have perfect eyesight in your later years. For now, I will just hang on to the contact lenses, and listen to her, try my best to wear my glasses more often!
