Many to Come

This year is going to swift pass really fast. quarter 1 will be so busy with my work, that I will not have much time for other stuff. I am trying...I should be glad and count my blessings to still be able to be kept busy in spite of bad times.

Q2 is going to start by the planning of renovation for our new house, settling the nitty gritty and Ethyl's school choices etc. We will hold a housewarming as the elders think that it is good to "warm up" the house with lotsa people. We'll do that, but i dread it whenever I think of the aftermath.

Q2 would probably end with "Home Sweet Home".

Q3 will be a different start for me. Enrolling Ethyl in the various classes she requested for and at the same time, I plan to take short courses and upgrade myself. Think work should be more settled by Q3 with the usual A&P activities.

Q4...I will be kept busy because many events are going to happen! Firstly, birthday planning for Ethyl. We had a lousy experience last year and all thanks to the bakery, we had a birthday without a birthday cake for Ethyl. This year, I am going to plan a small party at home for her. Guest list is kept a secret. It's not going to be a grand affair, it is going to be a small but a thematic affair. Am still planning for it...As for Hubby's he will get a surprise from me...

And next, my little master is ready for the journey of never ending learning! Will start him in school when he turns 20 month-old. However, this falls in December, will actually let him start school in Jan 2010! See, the year is going to be packed with activities! I wish a really great Ox year for all!

心想事成!

This is an extremely busy time for both Hubby and myself! No leave was granted, thus Mom had to do her shopping last minute. Sorry Mommy!

I bought my clothes at NAC and Paragon during lunch due to the lack of time for serious shopping. The kids? I have been buying before christmas and did a rough sum, I had spent more than $1k on both their clothes and stuff! Gosh...overspent!

Since we do not have our own house this year, we are shopping lesser (in terms of those CNY decos).

Last but not least...here's wishing all a year of ABUNDANCE!!! Huat arh!

Back From School Party!

The first time ever...I never really like buying her any cheong sam related or very CNY clothes as she won't get to wear them after CNY. If she does, it'll look very funny.
For a change, I got her this from Tom & Stefanie for a change and I think she looks very sweet!

Here's little boy enjoying his manicure by PoPo.

Rashy Boy

Could it be due to allergy from Augmentin prescribed? Could it be a viral rash?

These were the questions posted when we brought Brayden back to Dr Ng for review as requested.

Little boy's fever is yoyo-ing and rashes overtook the soft baby skin. I was worried and we sent him back to the PD for review. Those were the 2 possibilities, even Dr Ng is unable to tell which is which till his rashes subsides and we'll test the drugs on him to know if he is allergic to augmentin.

I hope he recovers soon, and recover in time for CNY!

I Wish Better

My mood is at rock bottom. Nothing is going to make me happy unless my little gets well NOW...he has not fully receovered eversince we came back from HK.

Took urgent leave yesterday and brought him to his paeds when his fever rose to 39.5deg. He was prescribed with augmentin. I was reluctant...but paeds mentioned that he may have secondary bacteria that is stirring up in his body causing him to fall sick on and off for the past few weeks. I accepted that explanation and he was fed with brufen on the spot cos his fever is too high.

Being sick, his smiles were greatly discounted...then again, who has the mood to smile when unwell? He is whiney, cranky and weepy. Ethyl dotes on the brother and felt heartpain when the brother is running a high fever.

Brayen boy didn't sleep well. He was tossing and turning, crying and whining...I am so tired. I believe the Man is tired too.

Part of my unhappiness has got to do with the Man. Shall not go further...time to slog...cos work is another unhappy factor.

The Overdue

Hen we got engaged, or rather ROM, Hubby got me a ring. A simple one that costs just slightly over a thousand bucks. That was in year 2001.

Newly graduated and didn't have much to indulge in, I settle for this ring and he promised an "upgrade" for me when he is more established in terms of career.

Two weekends ago, we went shopping with the kids. I pass buy one shop and saw the bling. A ring that fits my finger well and looks bling enough. I liked it. The sales person pushed a bigger one to me, but it didn't look good on my finger. So I still prefer the smaller one.

However...the man seemed to have forgotten the promise and is not moved by my hint. Sigh...When will my long overdued be fulfilled?

His First (few) Words

Brayden boy calls "jiejie". He adores Ethyl alot and loves to cuddle Ethyl too!

The first 2 times he called was when we were on a cab in HK. During my absence one of the weekdays, he called again.

This time, he also called "yi". Hmm...he prefers his Dad more...so I think he is next on the list. When is it my turn?

ROM Lunch

We were invited by my secondary school friend to attend her solemnisation at Royal Plaza on Scotts last Saturday.

It was tedious to prepare our juniors and making sure they had enough food and milk to sustain through, because we are going for a short shopping trip after the event.

She Really Did It!

She came back with her spelling book yesterday. When she told me hers was full marks, I was quite happy about it. I know she does put her heart and mind in everything she was told to do.

As you can see she did erase "Sam" several times. When asked for the reason, she said, "Because I wrote wrongly and I erase away and wrote correctly".

"Is it because the teachers told you to do that?" I asked

"No lah! Mommy, I know I am wrong, so I erase. Teacher only sit there and say the word."

Impressive! I hope there is consistency in her spelling tests.

Besides this, she can also write some Chinese words after a week of schooling! K1 makes a real difference in their learning. Can I be boastful and says she is actually quite smart? I hope we won't take things for granted and hope she can be humble.

Next week's spelling words...she remembered them in less than 5 minutes. I seriously think phonics helps her alot in her reading and now, spelling.

It's A Different Preparation

CNY is coming, I bring home shopping bags everyday eversince last Monday. Well, CNY shopping what...furthermore working in Orchard, I really can't resist. Do not misunderstand me, shopping are 95% for the kids.

This year, without our own nest, we have so much lesser to do! The CNY sinful goodies, house decoratings and spring cleaning...having said that, it doesn't mean we can get away with it; since we are staying at Mom's we will also lift our fingers and help out.

I have a resolution for myself this year and I really aim to achieve that!

Talking of which...I have yet to buy myself a proper set of CNY clothes. Hmm...maybe I should stop shopping for the kids and buy myself something nice and decent. Zara and Massimo Dutti are having sales...*winks*

It Has To Be a Busy Year...

Is it fortuante or unfortunate that we are striding into a busy year? 2009 is ging to be quite a busy year for all of us. Firstly, we are going to have our new house renovated, and shifting into a whole new town where we are all not very familiar with. Before the move, we need to go school hunting for Ethyl.

Ethyl just turned 4yo 2 months back and it's the age where I want her to start on some enrichment classes. These will unlikely be academic base, as she has enough to learn in school and at home.

I am still looking around for a school that teaches tots drumming. She is really interested in playing drums, although the Daddy raises his objections, I am the kind of Mom that goes with my kids' learning preferences. I will still hunt for a music school that teaches drum for kids at such tender age. Next is an art school, swimming lessons and her fave...speech and drama class. I really hope she can manage.

The new house renovation is going to keep me rather busy. Work wise is enough to fill up my diary, but no matter house busy I can be, I will still have to try and keep an eye on my new house reno works.

The kids are not neglected as well. Ethyl is old enough to have a say in her own room, we adhere to her princess request and we'll try to do up a princess room for her, Belle to be more specific. Not overdoing her room as we are worried that she'll outgrow and dislike the design. Am going to keep the design simple.

What else are we expecting? Well, there are some travel plans that Hubby is working on...however I am thinking of him getting me something else...I got to trade in the holidays + shopping trips for that thing that I really love to own...

After a good 4 years, I am finally moving my lazy arse to pick up driving again! I didn't complete my practical the last time round...this time, I have to re-take my advance theory and go for my practical lessons. I will be the chauffer for weekends, and I really have to get my class 3 for the sake of convenience!

First half of the year is crazy, I hope the we can settle in the second half and enjoy our days...Second half of the year is to start my primary school "shopping" for Ethyl. I have a school in mind...but I need to find out how far we are away from that school first.

Inaugural Family Trip 24 to 28 dec08

This trip itself was fruitful. We all enjoyed and had a great time shopping and eating!

24 Dec

Dad sent us off this day. We had no problems with the kids, even Brayden. They all woke up early, at 5ish to bathe and final round to checking to ensure we brought along what we ought to.

We didn't take many pictures here as we hoped to have. There were tour buses that sends the northerns there for sightseeing...and the very ill-mannered ones actually just cut Qs and stood in front of us while we were trying to take photos! RUDE!!!! UNCIVILISED!!!!

We walked to New World Centre for breakfast at East Ocean. Yummy!

She can pick up peanut with the chopsticks! Well done, gal!

Our son had a taste of the chuk(porridge) too!

We were too hungry to take all the food! Tuck in!

We shopped for a while at the mall before heading back to the hotel so that Brayden could rest. He couldn't adapt to the change in climate and his cheeks were red and dry and peeling off too!

The gal has lotsa pictures...

We went to Mongkok after this. Drop by Langham Place, and the H&M was pretty small...

No pictures from there and we were conned! Not a big amount, just wana make mom happy and thought we could get her the Taiwan series...anyways...a lesson learnt.

Day 3

Son was confined in the hotel. As he had a pretty bad nose and his skin condition is not improving even when i slap a luxurious amount of moisturizer on him.

Ethyl had fun though...we went to Disneyland! But before disney, we head to Chung Tung to Citygates Outlet.

We got quite a lot of stuff there...

At Central station towards Tung Chung and Sunnybay...
