Dim Sum and Brayden

We spent yet another madness saturday.

Hubby changed his off from Sunday to Saturday. We met up for a dim sum brunch at Red Star and yes, their dim sum is so far the better ones than those in town.

We all woke up early (because our kids were more accurate than alarm clock), though my lids were still weighing tonnes, we woke up and made milk for both and bathe them. We had a habit of bathing early, so do our kids. This habit started off with me and somehow Hubby is influenced. Isn't it so good the start the day fresh and away from the after-sleep odour?

Opps, I digressed again.

Dolled the duo and happily waiting to leave the house for a feast! I can swallow an elephant after my pumping session! While waiting for the time, I was busy snapping and the kids are ever so ready to be snapped *smiles*

Saturday is less crowded at the restaurant. The last time we went on a Sunday, we had to Q for like 30 minutes! However, the food is worth the wait.

We took some pictures with my iPhone.

Ethyl really loves babies (ahe admits herself). She is running between her baby cousin and baby brother. See how lovely she is on that day?
Once again...we went viewing and this is such a tiring chore...can't seem to find one that makes us feel like a home...had to go viewing again next week. How tedious! I hope we can find one soon.

Had some updates for our Brayden boy...He is such a joy to us! He is such a lovely and joyful dude!

He enjoys making funny faces and he is a really talkative boy who coos alot! He loves attention just like his darling sister!

This little milk monster started cereals. Not too early for him because we had a problem feeding him. When given just EBM, he'd be hungry every hour and meaning Mommy, his main caregiver in the day has got no time to rest and do her chores.

Made up my mind to add cereals in his meal hoping that he will have a sense of fullness. Who knows the added cereals is unable to last him for a good 3 hours. I guess he needs to start on his meals pretty soon too.

A li' update...more coming

Really hate time for waiting for no man! Brayden boy is now 4mo, and my darling girl is turning 4yo soon too.

Yesterday evening, I tried to wear her PJ for her after her bath and she said, “Mommy, I can do it…” I was sad at that instant. She is growing independent and didn’t need my help anymore! It is quite frustrating for me to admit the fact.

For Ethyl, she grew too fast. I spent a little time with her when I need to go withdraw money from the ATM. Just the 2 of us, after dinner, we strolled and chatted. She is just like a friend to me. She would share her different encounters in school, talks with her friends and things she does at home with me. My relationship with her is quite different from the one she shared with Hubby.

We talked about our boys (Hubby and Brayden boy), and she says she loves her brother to bits, just like how I love her. Told her we have some time together on Saturday, and a little surprise I have for her over the weekend as well. She has been good, and I decided to buy her a DS lite for her as a pressie.

She displayed good discipline when playing with games, and she loves challenging the “Spelling Challenge” (with our aid and prompt). I agreed to buy her one also because she respects my trust for her. When I let her play, she plays. When I say she stops, she keeps. When I say no games for the day, she does not fuss. How not to love her for being sensible?

My talkative little boy is just as lovely…he loves to smile and his chuckles are so infectious! Oh…Friday Friday pass quickly…I want to spend my time with family!

Botak Boy

He is officially a 4mo baby last saturday on the lunar calendar. As both Hubby and myself had to work, and Mom says shaving needs to be done in the day, we shaved our boy only today after Hubby returned from work.

He also had his taste of chicken drumstick (I didn't take pics as I was not around), I head he sucked and tasted the yummy drumstick I bought for him.

As it was raining heavily today, we brought him to the salon downstairs to get his head shaved. He is cooperative, he didn't fuss while shaving, unlike Ethyl who almost tore the salon down when she shaved.

Oh...I love botak babies...and he is ever so adorable!

If you were to look back at Ethyl's photos when she was this young, they actually looked so alike! I love my babies so much!

Keep Up The Pump!

Been complaining about the drop in my milk supply eversince I stared work. I used to fetch at least 1.5 litres a day easy, but now, it is good if I can have 1 litre.

Boss is good, he gave me a room to pump...but the stress of pumping in office is just not getting away. Some colleagues will want to lunch together and do not mind waiting for me. This gives me stress...they are waiting and I am working hard, trying to fetch at least 300ml to meet my little milk monster's supply...somehow it turned out the best is 220ml.

There was once I even tried using my manual pump in the nursing rooms at the shopping level, after 30 mins, I can only fetch 140ml. I nearly cried at the pitiful supply.

Decided to lug my electric pump back to work and its better to have 220ml better than 140ml.

Now that little milk monster is turning 4mo, and soon, we will be able to feed him semi-solids, at least I know the supply can still last him till then...Becacuse of the dwindled supply, Ethyl is unable to drink EBM, no choice...She'll have it when Bray starts taking cereals.

Are They Ready?

Am busying searching for information on bringing the kids (this includes our man) out for our inaugural family holiday.

Our initial plan was to go to the States...but since I started working, and do not have many days of leave, we'll zoom back to one of the nearer cities...Hong Kong.

Come to think of it, this may no be a bad arrangement since Brayden boy is still young, and long hauled flights may tire him, myself and the fellow passengers on board. I have no worries about Ethyl, she is going 4yo soon, and she is more than ready to take the flight.

Hubby and I planned to bring them for 2 holidays every year. One is to a nearer country, the other is to a further of the globe. Both of us will "steal" one weekend every year to go for a spa retreat. A nice plan we have...that also compromises my shopping budget.

One of the reasons I came back to work is to work for holidays ya? Haha...

I believe the kids will broaden their horizons from moving to different places with different cultures and people. Flipping through the guides, from selecting an accomodation, places of interests to visit, the transports available etc all falls on my shoulders. I am particular about accomodation because we are towing the kids along with us, else I am quite easy so long as it's proper and clean with proper amenities, I should be alright.

This year, Ann says she is also going to HK for her first family holiday. I hope to be able to coincide with her timing so that we can look out for one another on the trip. What's more? We can get them to be our camera man and take our first snap shot of the family photo and vice versa.

You know what? This kiasu Mommy is not willing to compromise on the nutritions for our little boy. I intend to bring along my mini electric cooker and cook him porridge so that he can still have a proper meal while on holidays. Together with me, I'll also have to bring the food warmer and stuff...

Hubby is set to go...I can't wait...Ethyl is thrilled as we plan to stay out last night at Disney Hotel..Brayden? He can't tell me his, but i assume he'll have a whale of time as well!

Counting down to september, then November...and CHRISTMAS!!! Too early? Remember, time passes in a twitch!

Pitter Patter

FINALLY!!!! We are able to spend a bashing weekend with our man! I was exhilarated when he said, "Bi, I am not going back to work this weekend...".

We (Ann and myself) planned to bring Mom out for lunch together with her grandbabies and do some shopping around town. Our first stop is to fill our tummies...ours were growling because we only met at 1ish.

Our cheeky first borns..see my nephew laughing so heartily? He enjoys the food there too!

Next, we went to Takashimaya as there is a baby fair going on and I need to replenish my breastpads. Bryaden is stepping into his fourth month soon, and I got him a nice little bowl waiting to start him on his semi-solids probably in a month or two.

As usual, Taka's nursing room is a must-patron place...

my lovelies...

Oh...I heart these pics!

These are the other non-disclosed shots taken previously...my boy is officially n car seat and he is a well-behaved dude at the rear seat.

Doesn't this pic looks so precious? I love Brayden boy's look here!

I have some more to update...will try to finish sonest...in the meantime, please bear with me...

He Can "NG"

Applauding for my boy...when he needs to poo, he would call out with a "ng ng" sound and Mom would bring the potty to him and he POOP in the potty!

It has been 3 days since he could do it...and he is doing well! He uses only THREE nappies in the day. Accidents happens when he was too tired to wake up to pee.

The jiejie, our darling girl is so proud to announce to us the milestone of our boy!

WELL DONE BRAYDEN! Mommy's so proud of you....!

2 Days

First 2 days at work, and I realised my babies grew quite a fair bit.

Ethyl was again bathing herself, feeding herself because Brayden boy was not sleeping and needed Mom's attention. She has performed well and received praises from us. I am glad she grew so sensible too!

Brayden boy was quite a good boy too! He woke up early and we all left home together. I sent them to Mom's place and I will leave them reluctantly. Oh, Bray boy seems to have grown longer too! He seems to grow quite a bit...I hate it when I am unable to witness his milestones.

These 2 days, the interactions with them are so minimal. The time I had with them is so limited, and so, I made full use of my time and my weekends with them.

Am so looking forward to our first weekend together...and I am keeping my fingers crossed because Hubby said he'll keep this weekend free of work to keep us company. Let's see if his promise is fulfilled.

When @ Work...

Seriously, I miss my babies at home...

Bon Voyage...

The whole of TEO clan (erm...only our household) went to send baby sis off at T3 for her holidays.

We went there earlier to shop and to "rip" the stingy Gina off! haha...

Before her Uncle Ken arrives, we were busy-ing with snapping...

I have only taken a pic with Bray boy once during confinement...now we took 2 *smiles*

Gonna Start A New Routine

I had to cancel all other interviews now...yes, got the job and going back to Orchard. This time, the pay is more than 20% more than previous, will give me more excuses to shop *opps*

Anyways, Ethyl is taking it so much easier and she said she will help Mom with Bray. Truly felt that she has grown...

How's Bray doing? He is too young to know what's happening...Here's a cute face for all.

National Day 2008

Ethyl's school is celebrating there National Day Party earlier and she has no school on Friday! YEAH!!! Too bad Daddy's working away...never mind, we'll have some plans for her tomorrow *winks*

She has been ugging me to bake her nice cakes, for her birthday, for Bray's birthday etc. Since their birthdays are still some months away, I gave her a nice surprise...I bake for her school party!

I piped the colors base on red and white...but don't know why the red turns out so pinkish. Added decorative stars and the cupcake I used vanilla cupcake added with M&M's. Am sure my princess will love it!

Now, I am perspiring like a pig...gotta go wash up and together with her, am going to send the cupcakes to school!

Happy National Day!

Seeing Them Grow

There is something thugging my heart...I forgot to record something for Brayden.

This little boy, "suffers" more than Ethyl. He had jaundice during his hospital stay when born, had to undergo blood tests and photo theraphy. Poor boy...When they made him sleep on him tums, he tried to crawl and was crying his lungs out...

As this op itself inflicted huge pain on me, I only managed to walk and see him in the nursery on the third day to see how he was under the light. I teared...My tears flowed without control...Mom and Hubby just looked at me and said nothing. Yes, nothing...I'd rather they say nothing than say the wrong things and made me feel even worse.

All because I had GD, he had to get a blood test done at birth (ouch), then jaundice and he had to take 2 more tests. But because he is a boy, it makes the pain lesser. I always tell him boys should be braver as they need to protect the girls.

Now, seeing him thriving on Mommy's milk, always sending us his mega smiles, it really brightens my days. Both Ethyl and Brayden are our sunshine. The rays and vibes ever so positive and joyful.

Hubby and my days were never boring with them around. Whenever Hubby came back from work feeling tired (I can see from his eyes), he'd be smiling and playing with Brayden and Ethyl...he must have felt good seeing his darlings after a hard day at work.

He is improving on his role as a Daddy now...Will we improve our roles as spouse as we are too kids centric? Let's see how...

So Tempted...

Am looking for furnishing ideas for the kids when we move. Yes, it is still in action...am contemplating whether to post this here or there, in the end, I post it here.
So nice right? This design will be nice for them till they are over tot years...a playmat cool for any age *smiles*
Went shopping yesterday evening at United Square to also get so ideas on kids' furnishing and did some planning for their rooms.
I have so many wants to fulfill!
